Please plan to attend the SHS Rising 9th Grade Orientation!

When:  Monday, November 28, 2016

Time:  6:00 – 7:00p.m.

Where:  Statesboro High School Auditorium

Statesboro High School will be presenting valuable information to prepare students for their transition into the 9th grade.  Topics include:  Registration timeline, classes, expectations, and how to be successful in high school.  Please don’t miss this opportunity.

LCMS 8th Grade Field Trip to Statesboro High School 

Thursday, November 17, 2016

Time Leaving LCMS:  8:20am

Time Returning to LCMS:  12:30-12:40pm

 

Purpose of Trip:  Tour Career, Technical, and Agriculture Education Department (CTAE) and receive a Fine Arts presentation.

 

Permission forms are due to 2nd period teachers by November 14, 2016.

Permission forms can be obtained from your child's 2nd period teacher or Ms. Natson (School Counselor).

Students need to arrive on time to school by 8:00am on November 17 or their opportunity to participate on the field trip could be denied.

All 8th grade LCMS students are encouraged to participate!

 

If parents/guardians have any questions about the field trip, please call Ms. Natson (School Counselor) at 912-212-8720.

Langston Chapel Middle School Annual Veterans Day Program

"Courage: Honoring Those Who Served"

Thursday, November 10, 2016

2:00 PM in the LCMS Gym

 

Celebrating the Veterans from all conflicts and branches of military - especially those among us!

 

Special Guest Speakers:

COL George Fredrick, United States Army

Commander Emil N. Kemp and Past Commander Rev./Dr. Enos V. Garvin, United States Army, Disabled American Veterans, Local Chapter #8

 

There will be a “Meet and Greet” at 1:00 pm for Veterans from all conflicts and branches of the military.

(Light refreshments will be served)

 

Program Conducted by LCMS Students

Patriotic Music by our LCMS Chorus and Band

SHS AFJROTC Color Guard & Exhibition Team

 

*Program will also include a Missing Man Ceremony and playing of Taps at the end

All veterans, current military and family are invited to join us as we recognize Our Own Community Military Heroes!

 

ALL CHORUS PARENTS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND!

8:00 a.m. - Tardy Bell; Homeroom begins

3:25 p.m. - Car riders dismissed

3:30 p.m. - Bus riders dismissed

*Note:  No Early Dismissals will be issued after 3:15 p.m.
